How can we help?
Most questions are answered below. For anything else, a real person at our Amritsar office is one call or email away.
Getting started
Do you just list colleges, or do you actually help?
We're a counseling team first — the same team guiding students from Amritsar since 2015. The app is that guidance on your phone: real matching against your marks and budget, a document tracker and a visa checklist, not a directory to sort through alone.
How do I know a consultant isn't misguiding me?
The best defence is transparency. In UniStep your matches are generated from your own marks, budget, English score and past study against real program requirements — each one labelled a safe, moderate or ambitious fit, with the reasons shown — so you're never asked to accept a single “best college” on trust. It's free to use, and our licensed Amritsar counselors are there to talk any option through.
Is it really free? Where's the catch?
No agent fee, no catch. You pay the university and the government the same costs you would with or without an agent — we don't add a markup on top.
Which countries can I apply to?
Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Cyprus and Mauritius today — each with its own visa checklist once you're matched.
Matching & courses
How does the matching actually work?
You share your marks, English score, budget and target countries once. We rank real, eligible programs — safe, moderate and ambitious — so you get a short, realistic shortlist instead of guessing.
Which course is best for my visa — any course, or my field?
A course that clearly builds on your past study is almost always the stronger choice. Visa officers look at whether your study plan makes sense — a sudden, unrelated switch is harder to justify than a course that continues or advances what you've already done. UniStep weighs your past study for exactly this reason, and our counselors help you frame a study plan that holds together. We can't and don't promise any visa outcome — that decision is always the government's.
Are the fees shown real?
Yes. We show each program's tuition as published by the institution, plus an approximate conversion to ₹ so you can plan in your own currency. Living-cost and visa figures are shown as indicative ranges from official sources and can change — our counselors confirm the exact numbers for your specific program before you commit. No hidden agent fee is ever added.
Documents & visa
What documents do I need to upload?
Typically: passport, academic transcripts, English test scorecard (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL/Duolingo), and — once you have one — your offer letter. The document tracker tells you exactly what's outstanding for your specific case.
How do I track my visa process?
Once you have an offer, you get a country-specific checklist — for example, PAL and GIC steps for Canada, CAS and financial proof for the UK — so you always know the next step and what's still pending.
